Ready Child Coalition

Holland & Knight, the Rotary Club of Deerwood, and the Ready Child Coalition have collaborated to bring 2000 children's books free-of-charge to 3 and 4-year old children at 169 childcare centers in Jacksonville, including the center adopted by Holland & Knight. These children participate in the Duval Professional Consortium Project, an intensive literacy based coaching and mentoring program that targets the most at risk children in the Jacksonville community.

At the kick-off of this event, Holland & Knight volunteers and city leaders welcomed Clifford the Big Red Dog at various daycare centers throughout Jacksonville. Each child delighted in choosing a book of his or her very own and Clifford was greeted with open arms by hundreds of children.
